Recently I got the chance to help a another good friend and her family build their dream house with Todd Hill Homes. Amy McNally and I cheered together in high school, roomed one year in college, and probably both agree we are quite different but somehow it works. She is unassuming, loving, and FUN! So for her to have the good fortune (through hard work) to build this home was such a positive experience for me. She deserves it!. Besides wanting to make it fabulous for her, Ed, her husband, and her two daughters Maddy and Lauren; I got the delight of working with a very agreeable family. A designer’s perfect match.
They are built on some land and wanted a more casual farmhouse feel but not something too country. The results are stunning. Ed was really fun to work with as he has quite the design eye. He is a little fancier which is right up my aisle. It was easy to talk him into marble, polished nickel and rich walnut wood. Then we would team up on Amy to get our way:) I think everyone was pleased with the results.
Our first hard decision was window color and after much discussion I talked them into black windows. They are gorgeous and create the framework for a stunning home. The light oak floors, farmhouse sink and well placed lighting were just a few details that make me proud to be a part of this project.
My bonus was the time spent with Amy who lifts the spirits of anyone she hangs is around. Her positive attitude is contagious. And I got a friend that now lives a little closer to me!
