Plumbing is as weird passion but it is one of my mine. I worked part time at a high end plumbing and tile showroom years ago where I really honed in on my love of plumbing. It makes a rich statement and is unexpected. Unique plumbing surprises and is sometimes a design detail that can be underestimated.
Besides the look that can transform any room, plumbing fixtures provides function too. I had the Toto Washlet at my last house. This only means something to you if you have one too. It’s a toilet seat that plugs into the wall. It is heated, has a cleaning wand and a dryer! All run by remote control of course. I highly recommend it. The heated seat may have been my favorite feature.
So when I was in NYC I was happy as a clam to hit local plumbing showrooms. I was like a kid in a candy store with every visit! The Kohler experience topped my list. I’m pretty familiar with the line but I was able to see all the options in multiple finishes live and in person! I told you it was a passion! It was fabulous! (I told you I had a weird passion!) Waterworks also did not disappoint with the best water wheel faucet. Here are some of views from the trip.
