I'm not going to lie, I have know Chrissy and Jason Wichman for the better part of my life. Ugh, that makes us old :) Ok not old if you are my mom's age and reading this but really old if you are a daughter's friend reading this. Anyway! I would like to think I was hired for my history of transforming spaces but really it was most likely a nice alliance built by the sisterhood of Pi Phis. Ring ching. Either way, I'll take the job! Chrissy will the be the first to tell you home decor is not her thing. I do not understand her pure lack of interest in it but it made her an excellent client :) Actually, they were dream clients. They wanted something beautiful and she trusted me to get them there. They tend to be traditional and for those of you that know me I have to push in a little modern in every space, it keeps it fresh. So we lighten and brightened. They had an amazing home and now it sparkles.
I got to incorporate my favorite bar cart from Crate and Barrel. The ottoman coffee table was recovered in updated fabrics and pulls in the colors and patterns we needed. New clean lined furniture set the tone for a more transitional space. Then just a little fluffing and the the room is perfect. A great view as you enter the home.
I hate to use up all my good before and after blog entries but I have had these pictures filed for awhile and I came across them last week and was reminded how some simple changes can make a huge difference. I also need to give full credit to a fantastic photographer, Chrissy Wichman herself did the after pictures for me. I hope to keep her busy with other projects. She's pretending to be busy, ok she's working and a mother of 3 so probably not pretending, but I'm persistent. So hopefully we have lots more before and after articles to come with beautiful Wichman photography. For now, please enjoy these…..
Happy Thursday. Also thank you everyone for subscribing. I sent my first blanket email trying to drum up some readership and it worked! I really appreciate the support.
