My dream faucet. Thanks, Kohler!
I have a weird love of plumbing and tile. I attribute this obsession to one of my early design jobs where I worked part-time at Steve Knox Gallery, a high-end tile and plumbing showroom. I learned so much there about real world applications of plumbing, tile installations and thanks to Heidi, I took away bits on how to be a good boss. I owe Heidi a lot.
So I could browse tile and plumbing fixtures all day. I would love to have an endless budget and really do all the things I want in my own home, but a close second is helping my clients pick out some really cool pieces. It’s a detail that is often overlooked but I find it’s something that really elevates the design of a room. Friends may not leave my house and say, “did you see the plumbing”, but they notice my Kohler Carbon faucet in the kitchen and the wall-mount faucet in the bathroom.
In case you haven’t heard me lately, brass is back! Plumbing is no exception.
Here are few fun pics of plumbing to love. Local showrooms are a great resource to consumers and designers. These pictures are from our local showrooms at Kitchens and Baths by Briggs and Ferguson. Up above, is my wall-mounted faucet from Kohler. The wall-mounted faucet looks so custom to me. It requires a valve behind the drywall so it is a piece that takes a little planning for implementation. So if anyone wants to talk toilets, faucets or showers just give me a ring 🙂
This takes the same idea of a wall mounted faucet but incorporates it’s into the sink. Too cool. I have admired this Kalista vanity for years. And who won’t want that slab of marble? Kitchens and Baths by Briggs not only has top-notch customer service, but you can actually sit in these beauties. I love the detail of this mirror-front vanity.
